TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program )

The S.C.C. is providing food to over 900 low-come individuals, families, and seniors on a monthly basis.

CSFP- (The Community Supplement Food Program )

This is a Senior specific program. The CSFP is currently provided food to over 135 seniors In Chaffee County.

The School Pantry Distribution

The S.C.C. works directly with the KHEN radio station to distribute food to students in the Valley.

Necessities

The Colorado Central Humanists works with the S.C.C. in order to provide families in need items like shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc.

S.C.C. Rentals

The community center provides rental spaces for non profits for a very minimal price so that they are able to have fundraisers. We work with such non-profits as Veteran’s Expedition, Ark Valley Helping Hands, and others. We also provide a reasonable priced Commercial Kitchen Rental for entrepreneurs so that they can get a hand up in starting their own businesses. One such business if Tacos El Tapatio which used our commercial kitchen and now is a successfully ran business here in Salida.
